For many years, I just thought it was “too much work” or that I saved enough in store that I didn’t want to worry about one more thing.
Well, I was getting really sick of posting all these great deals that had an Ibotta rebate and I caved. I decided to give it try and boy am I happy I did!
First things first, as soon as you sign up (it’s free) and redeem your very first rebate, you will get a $10 bonus. Literally, a FREE $10 just for giving it a try.
And, although I always thought it was too much work, it really isn’t. It is super simple. Go to the store, buy an item. When you get home (I’ve even been so excited I do it right from the car lol!) just scan your receipt and the barcode of the item and BOOM, you got money!
Once you hit $20, you can then withdraw it through PayPal. OK, next best part. You can even submit for rebates even if you got the item for free, used coupon on the item, earned store rewards for buying the items too! You will still be able to get your rebate 🙂
Like I said, better than sliced bread right? If you haven’t signed up, you can sign up HERE and get your FREE $10 after you redeem your very rebate no matter how big or small it is! Oh, and can we talk about their bonuses too?
So, you can also earn bonuses for redeeming a certain amount of rebates in a month or for buying a set of items too! These are updated often.
As you can see from the photo below, this year I have redeemed almost $2,500 in rebates on top of everything I save at the store and store rewards that I have received. That was a lot of “free” money I have been missing out on all because I thought Ibotta was “too much work”. Don’t make the same mistake I did.
P.S. My tip- I leave my money sitting there all year long and cash it out around the holidays. It is a great way to help pay for extra expenses such as presents for the holidays, oil and unexpected car repairs 🙂
