Not many of you know what goes on behind the scenes of having and running your own blog. First off, I am one person. That makes things very difficult in and of itself. But, it works! I make it work. I am doing what I love and helping others. But, sometimes, you have a wrench (or 2 or 10) thrown in to your day. I guess I will fill you all in about the weekend I had and my upcoming week. My head is just simply spinning. First off, I had to move servers. For any of you familiar with anything web/internet, it is NOT fun. It basically means I had to start all over again. Re-design the website, fix all the broken links, re-do all my advertisements, lost my media library, fix the plugins, affiliate links, blah blah blah. Basically, it means my eyes have not seen the back of eyelids all weekend. And, I have spent most of this morning making sure everything is up and working to find out that my server cannot re-direct back to my old domain name (I had to create a new domain name, re-build my site on that and then point the old domain to the new site) for some weird reason. And, I have to start over again. Which means my site is going to go down. Again. I don’t want my site to go down so I hung up. I have thrown in the white flag for the day! But, it has to get fixed. I just can’t deal with it today. Tomorrow is a new day.
Beside all the website stuff and numerous phone calls, my daughter has her Holiday Concert tonight. We were supposed to have girls day and paint our nails and make snowflakes out of paper. None of that has happened. I feel like I have failed my child. I need to make time for her. I think she is beginning to think that my face is going to turn into a computer screen. So, sorry to leave you high and dry on Green Monday, but I promise you that at this moment in time, I am no good for anyone. I need to get “me” back whether it means a nap for a few hours, vegging out on the couch until my daughter gets off the bus, or even finding the time to take a shower (which doesn’t usually happen until late at night). All I know is that whatever it is doesn’t involve being in front of the computer screen. I hope you all understand and I will see you back here tomorrow! Hopefully, my daughter and I will have pretty nails, full bellies, and and the coolest snowflakes ever! (And, the website just fixes itself lol!)
