I know that a lot of you probably wonder what my stockpile looks like. Beside the fact it is ever changing because of all the different items I buy, it is usually a mess. A hot mess at that. Because I have a space in my basement allotted to my stockpile, no one actually ever sees it. It isn’t in some closet where it has to be organized or in totes that have to be semi organized to be able to fit stuff. No, no no. I am cursed with having the “hidden” stockpile. What that means is that I go shopping, I unload everything on my dining room table to take a video for YouTube and a picture for the blog. I then bag it all back up and drag it downstairs. The end.
No really. You thought I was kidding. It stays in bags on my basement floor for no one to see. I have shelves set up but it is so much easier to just leave it. Ok, no it’s not. It’s just lazy. So, I guess I’m lazy. I’m the one who will go down and start rummaging through the bags looking for that mustard that I need or a new deodorant. And, be pissed off that I have to rummage even though it is my own damn fault. I could simply just put my shit away! I know you are laughing at me right now 🙂 But, I don’t put stuff away. Well, I do eventually. Once I have so many bags that I can’t walk around them any more, I put them away. And, I dread it every single time because by that time, I have so much stuff to try to find “homes” for. You would think that I would learn by now. Nope. Not me! I can’t “learn”. I like to make myself suffer.
A few weeks ago I ordered 17 bottles of Method cleaners. Yes, I said 17. Haven’t we already established that I have a problem?! Ok, as you are nodding your head, I am glad that you are in agreement with me. They have been just sitting all over the floor in my basement. I just kept walking past them and walking past them. I finally got sick of walking past them and hovering over them to reach something else that I decided it was time for them to have a “home”.
That decision required an entire upheaval of my entire cleaning shelf. What should have taken me 5 minutes took me 45 minutes to completely re-do an entire shelf. But, it is done! For now anyway. Until I buy more and have no “home” for those items hahaha! My cleaning shelf is one of my favorites that I have. It is just so pretty and I just love cleaning products. I never thought I would ever say that but I do. Now, I just have 7 other shelves that need to done. There is always next year 🙂
