Money is tight as many of you already know. And, for some of us, having a “normal” job just is not an option. Between carting kids to and from school, sick days, doctors appointments, lack of babysitters (or lack of money to pay one) or lack of a spare vehicle keep some of us home and the burden of providing money into the household on our significant others shoulders. My contribution to the household is to make his dimes stretch as far as possible by couponing for the things we need and use on a daily basis. I may not be able to drastically reduce my electricity bills, oil payments, insurance and car payment BUT I can sure help by reducing a major expense such as food and household products. Besides simply using coupons at the grocery store and drug stores to save a few bucks, there are a few tricks you can do right from your very home! By no means will you get totally rich BUT it may be enough to help pay that cell phone payment or give you the extra money to buy that new TV you have always wanted or maybe even be able to afford a weekend away once in awhile. These are all super simple and require little to no work on your part because what fun would it be to earn free money if you had to work really hard to get it? 🙂
I use all of these methods and it brings in an extra couple hundreds bucks a month which helps us tremendously. Seriously, all you need is a computer and a smart phone. Anyone can do this and it does not involve taking surveys or spending hours at your computer. I know you have much better things to do such as clean, and do laundry and cook and run errands and be a mom, counselor, chauffeur, mediator, friend, wife and the list goes on and on and on!
1- First things first, Ebates is an absolute MUST. I do not know about you, but I end up ordering a lot of stuff online. It is just so much easier. From groceries to toilet paper on Amazon, birthday gifts, clearance items, ship to store for free pick up items, or simply ordering something online to avoid having to get out of my yoga pants and go out in public. By shopping through Ebates first, I earn cash back usually around 6-18% on my purchases (the price is sometimes even calculated before promo codes and sale codes!) You figure, if you order $100 worth of stuff on Amazon and are getting 6% cash back, that is a FREE $6. Trust me, the money adds up quick! In a little over a month, I have earned $135 cash back from Ebates. Also, you can use Ebates in conjunction with sales, promo codes, gift cards, free shipping offers and coupons. Plus, still earn your cash back. Sounds too good to be true? Its totally not. So, what are you waiting for? Sign up HERE.
2- Ibotta- This is another app that pays your for grocery shopping AND they have also expanded in to retail shopping too! For example, they had a deal a few days ago if you spent $100 at Best Buy, you would get back $10! I like free, easy money for doing things I am ALREADY GOING TO DO!
After shopping, tap the Redeem button, take a picture of your receipt, and verify your purchases. If the store is an Ibotta Preferred Partner, it’s even easier! Simply link your loyalty card to Ibotta before you go shopping. No points. No credits. No other made-up currencies. Real cash.100% of your earnings can be transferred to PayPal or Venmo as soon as you’ve earned $10.
