Meet my husband. The energy drink addict. No, seriously. He is. It is horrible. And, I yell at him for it all the time! He spends soooo much money on those stupid cans of crap that don’t do a damn thing for him but yet he has to have them. Daily. And, multiple of them a day. That means that some days he ends up spending upwards of $10 a day on 4 energy drinks.
I tried and tried to get him to stop drinking them and that obviously isn’t happening so the only thing I could do was figure out how I could get them for wayyyyy cheaper. These stupid cans were killing my budget and of course hubby didn’t care one bit!
Basically, if he drank 4 Red Bull a day at 2/$5 price, he was spending $70 a week on 28 cans. Absolutely ridiculous if you ask me. So, thankfully I was able to cut that price in half. I would prefer for it to go away all together but for now, I’ll take the saving money aspect of it 🙂
BJ’s sells the cases of Red Bull for $36.99. There are 24 cans in it. That makes each can only $1.54 which is already somewhat of a savings. Almost $1 savings per can so I’ll take it. But, in their monthly coupon booklet, they usually always have a coupon for it too and this month was a $4 coupon! YES! (I only get my book in the mail so I just went to customer service and asked for another one so I could have 2 coupons) Plus, BJ’s also has this Save $5 off $50+ purchase too!
With all of my coupons, I saved an addtional $13 off 2 packs! I paid $60 for (2) 24 packs of Red Bull making each can only $1.27. Compared that what he was spending, I was saving almost $1.25 off EACH can AND doubling the amount of energy drinks he had on hand which means I cut his budget down tremendously and he still gets to have his energy drinks which makes for a happy hubby!
